We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Area Cleaning Manager to join our Glasgow school’s account. (base location Hillhead High School)
Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Glasgow Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 30 schools (Europe’s largest educational Private Finance Initiative).
This role is on site based
The standard hours of work are 37.5 Hours Per Week (shift pattern Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm)
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the Glasgow contract.
We need an Area Cleaning Manager to cover 16 school sites in the Eastend and Westend of Glasgow. You’ll oversee cleaning teams, ensuring they meet standards, have adequate staffing, proper documentation, and training. You must embody our safety culture, keeping both staff and customers safe. Most importantly, you will ensure our cleaning teams provide excellent service.
You must hold a UK driving license (company car provided) and will have 150 direct reports (all cleaners). The ability to work without supervision, knowledge of Health & Safety (H&S), and the ability to motivate and lead the team are essential.
