Finance Assistant

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our team at Abingdon – Amey, Milton Park, Milton Park Innovation Centre, 99 Park Drive, Milton Park, Oxfordshire, OX14 4RY– This role will be hybrid working.

The salary is between £25,000 – £28,000 per year (dependant on experience)

The hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week.

The Main purpose of this role is to provide financial support and assist Financial Accountant to ensure that both internal and external accounting and reporting requirements are delivered, and control standards met.

Study support towards Accounting Qualification AAT or CIMA/ACCA is available.

What you will do:

• Processing of Vendor Invoices
• Reconciliation of Vendor statements
• Resolution of Invoice and Vendor queries (WIA)
• Processing of Sales Ledger Invoices
• Resolution of Sales Invoice queries (IQP)
• Process Exception Reporting
• Reconciliation of GRIR
• Ensure accurate and timely cost allocation with relevant profit centres

• Strong IT skills
• Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion
• Ability to think ahead, plan work and meet deadlines
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of SAP or accounting system would be an advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Good team player
