Grounds Maintenance Apprentice Fixed Term Contract – 28 months

We are looking to recruit a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice to join our team based from our office in Leeds, LS10 1BL.

About the Role.

You will work alongside qualified engineers providing a range of grounds maintenance including maintaining shrubs, cutting grass, weeding and planting across 74 sheltered schemes across Leeds City Region.

You will carry out a range of tasks while working efficiently and safely, in line with best practice, whilst achieving excellent customer experience results.

You will complete a Level 2 Horticulture/Landscape Construction Operative apprenticeship with Heart of Yorkshire Education Group (Thornes Park, Wakefield campus) on day release. You will be required to completed coursework issued via the training provider, record off the job learning hours and producing a portfolio of evidence in preparation for the end point assessment (EPA).

  • A positive, can-do attitude to work.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Capable of using your own initiative
  • GCSE Maths and English which is grade 4-9 (C-A*) or Functional Skills Level 2 desirable.
