Today commences a week of celebrations leading up to Armed Forces Day on Saturday 28th June, one of the most important dates in the British calendar. We must remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of peace.
Our Armed Forces community protect our great country and defend liberties world wide. Their selfless loyalty to each other and to the United Kingdom is as enduring as our gratitude.
We also thank our military spouses and families; military life has an impact on your loved ones, and they too, are noble, heroic and selfless. Whether it’s war or peace, seen or unseen, our Armed Forces are a source of inspiration, reassurance and astounding pride. So to our Armed Forces community, accept the praise and adoration, enjoy the week and celebrate in style – this is all about you.
