Today marks Holocaust Memorial Day. Our Mental Health lead Bernie Graham MSc FRSM FRSPH GMBPsS Graham and Robert Rinder MBE led commemorations in Durham Cathedral.
Rob and Bernie were part of the award-winning documentary series My Family, the Holocaust and Me, which helped British Jewish families trace the stories of their family, to understand their experiences of the Holocaust. The aim was to provide young people with an opportunity to reflect on the legacies of the Holocaust, through sharing their family history.
Bernie commented “One of the reasons I support BuildForce and our Armed Forces, is my family and I wouldn’t be here today if it hadn’t been for their intervention and support. For this I will always be indebted to them.”
