Amey Consulting – Principal HV Design Engineer (Substations)
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent High Voltage (HV) Design Engineer to join our Consulting Lighting, Power and Technology team in London / Southeast. With offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Cardiff, York, Sheffield and Newcastle, we are open to consider candidates from across the country.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, but we offer a range of flexible working practices, including hybrid, part-time and flexible working patterns. With our network of offices across the UK and now Ireland, we are open to discussing working options that match your needs, with the flexibility to change how you work as your life evolves.

What you will be doing
We are seeking an experienced High Voltage (HV) Principal Engineer to join our growing engineering team, delivering the design and development of electrical power infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing HV substation solutions from concept through to detailed design, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience working on Transport for London (TfL) projects or within rail and transportation environments.
